About me
初めまして。松本遼子と申します。
現在、オーストラリア・メルボルンの現地小学校で、学童保育（Outside School Hours Care / OSHC）のプログラムマネージャー（Program Manager） / エジュケーショナルリーダー（Educational Leader）として働いています。
日本とオーストラリアの両方で、教育・保育・学童保育に20年以上携わってきました。
現在も現場で子どもたちと関わりながら、プログラムづくりやスタッフ育成に携わる一方、オーストラリアの学童保育に関する研究や、日本とオーストラリアをつなぐ教育交流にも取り組んでいます。
私がずっと大切にしているのは、
「子どもたちの遊びと育ちを支えたい」
そして、
「日本とオーストラリアの教育・保育・学童保育をつなぐ架け橋になりたい」
という思いです。
日本とオーストラリア、両方の教育現場で働いてきたからこそ、それぞれの良さや違いをたくさん感じてきました。
現場で子どもたちと過ごしているから見えること。
研究を通して、改めて気づくこと。
そして、人と人がつながることで生まれる新しい学び。
その一つひとつを大切にしながら、現場での実践と研究をつなぎ、日本とオーストラリアの教育に関わる方々と共有していきたいと思っています。

Welcome, and thank you for visiting. I’m Ryoko Matsumoto.
I am currently based in Melbourne, Australia, where I work at a local primary school as a Program Manager and Educational Leader in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).
I have been working in education, early childhood education and care, and school-aged care in Japan and Australia for over 20 years.
I continue to work directly with children while also being involved in program development and staff development. Alongside my work in the field, I am involved in research on Australian OSHC and educational exchange between Japan and Australia.
There are two things that have always been important to me:
Supporting children’s play and development
and
Building a bridge between education, care and OSHC in Japan and Australia.
Having worked in educational settings in both Japan and Australia, I have seen many differences between the two countries, as well as the strengths of each.
There are things I can see because I work with children every day.
There are things I discover through research.
And there are things we can learn when people connect and share their experiences.
I would like to continue connecting practice with research and sharing what I learn with people working in education and care in both Japan and Australia.
Through WOMBAT FAMILY J&A, I am involved in:
- Coordinating visits to OSHC services and educational settings in Australia
- Research and educational exchange related to Australian OSHC
- Professional learning and sharing information about education, early childhood education and care, and school-aged care
- Interpretation and translation support
